Alexandra Bernal, PhD

Alexander Bernal is a licensed psychologist, who has been practicing since 2014. She graduated from Utah State University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology.

Alie uses a cultural relational approach to focus on getting to know you to better understand your distress and how to manage it, as well as work together to break down the ways privilege and oppression are impacting your distress. She utilizes therapeutic strategies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Alie specializes in body image and disordered eating concerns, identity exploration, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma (childhood, interpersonal violence). Special populations that Alie serves are people of color, LQBTQIA+ people with a special focus on transgender and gender diverse people, and adolescents.
