Ruthie Marx, LPC, CADC I

Ruthie (pronouns: she/her) has a Masters of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Ruthie has experience working in residential drug rehabilitation, crisis hotlines, and community mental health. She had a private practice in Portland before coming to the Strong group practice.

Ruthie uses an eclectic style of therapy including mindfulness practices, attachment theory, social justice, and EMDR. She treats adults with issues such as Complex PTSD, single incident PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, gender exploration, sexual/relationship orientation, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship and family issues, depression, anxiety, postpartum, and trauma. She treats individuals with compassion as well as pushing them towards their desired change and new perspectives.
