Rebecca Bobek, PsyD

Dr. Rebecca Bobek is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, self-harm, relational issues, and ADHD with persons five years and older.   She has been treating clients in various settings using an integrative holistic therapeutic approach adapted to work with each unique individual.  Her therapy approach is structured, culturally-informed, compassionate, relational, evidence-based, and individually adapted to guide each human towards a healthier version of themselves based on their personal values and beliefs.   She integrates aspects of psychodynamic relational approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and strength-based postmodern approaches like Positive Psychology and Narrative Therapy.  

She received a Master of Clinical Counseling Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008 and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology degree from William James College in Boston, Massachusetts in 2011.   She has clinical experience and training at a methadone substance abuse clinic with adults, a residential and partial eating disorder facility for teens and adults, a trauma treatment facility for children and families, and a behavioral health clinic focused on treatment using biofeedback and hypnosis.  Most recently she worked at an outpatient private practice group with children, adolescents, and adults in Woburn, Massachusetts.  She joined our practice at Strong Integrated Behavioral Health, LLC in 2016.

Dr. Bobek returned to Oregon to be closer to her family and friends after spending over eight years in the New England area.   She grew up in Astoria, Oregon and is a graduate of the University of Oregon.  She currently works at Oregon Medical Group offices on Mondays and Fridays and outpatient at Strong on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
